APPLE PIE WITH RAISINS 
3/4 c. raisins
3/4 c. water
6 c. peeled, sliced apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Dash ginger
Dash ground cloves

In small saucepan, combine raisins with water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and allow to stand covered 10 minutes to soften. Drain off excess water and combine raisins with all other ingredients. Toss well.

Pour into pastry lined (I use pre-made pie crusts) pan and mound up the filling in the center. Cover with pastry, crimp edges together and slit tip to allow steam to escape.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until crust is browned.

Note: This pie has no sugar-perfect for diabetics and those who watch their diets. It is very tasty.
