BAKED CHICKEN WITH ONION SOUP | |
1 fryer 1/2 c. cooking oil 1/2 c. water 1 pkg. onion soup mix Salt and pepper to taste White or wild rice Cut fryer in small pieces. Season with red and black pepper and salt. Oil each piece and place in baking pan. Bake at 450 degrees for 1 hour. About 30 minutes after chicken has been in oven, add water and soup mix. Baste during remaining cooking time. Add more water if necessary. Serve over cooked rice. |
