FLANK STEAK WITH POTATOES 
1 flank steak (4-6 servings)
1 lg. onion
2 tbsp. flour
Salt and pepper
1/2 tsp. thyme
Garlic powder to taste
1 1/2 c. water
2-3 parboiled potatoes, sliced (if additional potatoes are used, add more water proportionately)
Butter
Paprika

B rown meat, then onions; remove to plate. Stir in flour and seasonings, when blended, add water. Return meat and onion to casserole. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until tender. Remove from oven and lay sliced potatoes over meat. Sprinkle with melted butter, salt, pepper and paprika. Return to oven to brown potatoes (about 15 minutes).
