STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE 
3 c. flour
4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening (Crisco)
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. milk (about)

Sift dry ingredients, cut in shortening. Add eggs and enough milk to moisten dry ingredients. Pat mixture into greased 8"x11" pan. Bake at 425 degrees about 20 minutes (until nicely browned). Serve warm, smothered with sweetened strawberries. Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
