WHOLESOME OATMEAL BISCUITS 
2 c. flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. packed brown sugar
2/3 c. non-fat dry milk
2 c. quick oats
1/2 c. shortening

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, brown sugar, instant milk and oats in a medium bowl. Mix thoroughly, breaking up brown sugar to distribute evenly. Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

To prepare 1 dozen biscuits: Combine 1 beaten egg and 1/2 cup water. Add to 1/2 (about 2 1/2 cups) of flour mixture. Stir just until blended. Drop by heaping teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake in hot oven 400 degrees, 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Mixture will keep in refrigerator at least 1 week.
