LEONA'S SESAME CHICKEN | |
1 tbsp. vinegar 2 tsp. sherry 1/4 tsp. ground ginger dash red pepper 4 tbsp. sesame seed 1/4 tbsp. parsley 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. cooking oil 1/4 tsp. onion powder 1 minced clove garlic 1 whole chicken breast Combine marinade ingredients: vinegar, sugar, sherry, cooking oil, ginger, red pepper, garlic, onion powder and parsley. Spread sesame seeds in a pan and toast in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Take one whole chicken breast, skinned, boned and halved. Pound chicken to flatten. Place chicken in a plastic bag. Pour marinade over the chicken. Place in refrigerator for 1 or 2 days. Turn the bag around (every 4 to 6 hours). Remove chicken from marinade. Place in a pan and brush with marinade. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds to cover. Add about 1 tablespoon water to pan. Broil about 6 inches from heat for 5 minutes. Turn, brush with marinade. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and broil 4 minutes. |
