BAKED SPAGHETTI 
9 oz. spaghetti
1 lb. ground beef (chuck or round)
1 lb. grated yellow cheese (longhorn, mild, med. mixed)
1 can #2 tomatoes (2 1/2 c. or 20 oz.)
1 can Campbell's tomato soup (not cream of tomato)
1 lg. onion, minced fine
1 button garlic, minced fine
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 pinch sugar
Salt & pepper to taste
7 oz. can mushrooms, use pieces & stems

Saute onions and garlic. Add all sauce ingredients except meat, mushrooms and cheese. Cook sauce 2 hours (simmer), add ground beef and simmer 10 minutes; add mushrooms (with part of juice) and simmer 20 minutes longer. Boil and drain spaghetti, pour sauce over spaghetti and mix. Place layer of spaghetti, then a layer of cheese etc. in baking dish. Bake 1/2 hour in moderate oven. Stir lightly once or twice to mix melted cheese.
