“CHERRY PUDDING CAKE” IS IN:

CHERRY PUDDING CAKE 
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup milk

Blend sugar and butter. Add flour, baking powder and milk. Mix and pour into greased 8x8-inch baking dish.

FRUIT:

3/4 cup sugar
1 cup sour cherries (in juice)
1 cup boiling water

Mix sugar and sour cherries. Pour over dough. Pour boiling water over all. Do NOT stir.

Note: I sometimes use the cherry juice and add enough water to make 1 cup.

Bake at 375°F for 45 minutes.
