POLISH POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
3 oz. bourbon
1 c. chopped nuts
1/3 c. powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine the flour and baking powder. To the creamed mixture alternately, add the dry ingredients and the milk. Add the vanilla and bourbon and fold in 2/3 cup of nuts. Pour into a greased tube pan. Sprinkle with a mixture of the powdered sugar and remaining nuts. Bake for 1 hour. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
