BEEF AND HASH BROWN PIE
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 c. bread crumbs
1/3 c. milk
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. hickory smoke salt
1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
Pepper
1/2 c. minced onion
1/4 c. minced parsley
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
2 tbsp. melted butter
3/4 c. grated cheddar cheese
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Dash of hot sauce

Combine the egg with bread crumbs, milk, 1 1/4 teaspoon salt, smoke salt, monosodium glutamate, 1/8 teaspoon pepper, onion, and parsley and mix well. Add the beef and mix well.

Spread on bottom and side of greased 9-inch pie plate. Mix the potatoes with remaining salt and dash of pepper. Spoon into beef shell and drizzle with butter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until beef mixture is browned. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting. Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Serve with beef pie.
