PIZZA
1 box Pillsbury hot roll mix
1 tbsp. salad oil or olive oil
1 med. onion, diced
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. Italian herb seasoning
1 tsp. dried garlic bits
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 or 2 (16 oz.) pkgs. Mozzarella cheese, shredded (according to how much cheese you like on your pizza)

TOPPINGS TO CHOOSE:

1 lb. ground beef, cooked & drained
1 lb. sausage, cooked & drained & crumbled
1 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
Pepperoni
Ham (sandwich meat), cut into 1-inch pieces
Mushrooms, sliced

1. SAUCE: In a pan over medium heat, put 1 tablespoon oil and onion. Saute until tender. Stir in tomato sauce and paste, sugar, Italian herb seasoning, red pepper, garlic and salt. Heat until sauce bubbles. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for a few minutes. Then take off heat and cool.

2. CRUST: Prepare crust according to directions on the hot roll mix box. Makes enough for 2 (12 inch) pizza pans or a large cookie sheet. Brush dough with oil after it is put onto pans.

3. Sprinkle circles with 1/2 of the cheese; top with tomato sauce; any toppings that you choose; then sprinkle with remaining cheese. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

4. Bake 20 minutes or until crusts are golden. Cut each into 8 wedges. Makes 8 main dish servings.
