CHEESE STUFFED FRENCH BREAD 
1 lg. loaf French bread
1 c. (1/4 lb.) Swiss or Cheddar (shredded)
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
3 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. dried oregano

Cut a lengthwise slice from top of bread. Set aside. press down inside of loaf, forming a shallow pocket. Do not overfill. Replace top. Wrap in foil. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Put under broiler for just 2 minutes to make top crispy. Cool slightly. Cut into slices. Serves 8-10.
