LASAGNA STUFFED GARLIC BREAD
1 loaf French bread
Ricotta cheese (small container)
Mozzarella cheese (small block)
Lasagna noodles (2 to 4)
1 lb. ground beef
1-1/2 cups marinara sauce
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
oregano, to taste
garlic, to taste

Cook noodles until just done. Drain. Brown ground beef and drain. Add marinara sauce (I used Prego). Warm throughly. Slice bread down the center and carve a trench in both halves. Melt butter and add garlic/oregano to taste. Brush on inside and outside of bread.

Lay slices of mozzarella in trench down one half of the bread. Cover with lasagna noodle (either 1 or 2 depending on length of bread). Spread meat sauce over noodle. Add layer of noodle. Add ricotta cheese spreading slightly along length. Bake at 425°F for 8 to 14 minutes.

Note: Bread removed from loaf to make trenches is wonderful slightly toasted and tossed in the bowl used to make the garlic butter.
