BEEF PATTIES 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 can (16 oz.) applesauce (1 3/4 c.)
1 slice bread, cubed
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 c. catsup
1/4 c. water

1. Mix ground beef, applesauce, bread, onion salt, pepper and ginger.

2. Shape into patties. Brown in hot oiled skillet on both sides.

3. Place 1 layer deep in another skillet.

4. Mix catsup and water. Pour over meat.

5. Simmer 10 minutes. Makes 14 patties.
