LEMON SQUARES 
PASTRY:

1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. confectionery sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

LEMON SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten lightly
Lemon rind from 1 lemon
3 tbsp. lemon juice
2 1/2 tbsp. flour

Mix pastry ingredients. Press in 8"x8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Mix lemon sauce ingredients. Pour over hot crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while hot. Do not over bake.
