| OOEY GOOEY BUTTER CAKE | |
|
1 box yellow cake mix 1 stick butter 1 egg 8 oz. cream cheese 2 eggs 3/4 box powdered sugar Mix cake mix, butter and egg by hand. Press into a baking dish. Beat remaining ingredients, pour over cake mixture and bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees. While still hot, sprinkle powdered sugar lightly over the top. Cool. Refrigerate, cut into squares and serve. | |

This is the best of its kind. Many of the ooey gooey recipes call for 2 eggs in the crust and 2 in the cream cheese mixture. Some call for butter in the cream cheese mixture. Some call for the full box of sugar. This is the perfect ratio of ingredients. I make it using lemon cake mix and add some lemon zest and a squeeze of juice to both the crust and topping. PERFECTION!!
