SCONES 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. raisins
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 stick butter
1 egg
Sour cream (less than 3/4 c.)

Before you begin mixing have the sour cream at room temperature and the butter soft. Mix or sift dry ingredients. Cut in butter, then add sugar and raisins. Beat egg in measuring cup, then add sour cream until it measures 3/4 cup.

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Add the egg, sour cream mixture and mix it all together. Drop on greased cookie sheet with a tablespoon. The dough will be very moist. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Yield about 15 scones. Variation - roll out on floured board and cut and glaze.
