ITALIAN GOULASH 
1 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 (28 oz.) can tomato puree
1 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 (16 oz.) pkg. macaroni, freshly cooked & drained
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Stirring frequently, cook beef, onion and garlic in large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned, about 15 minutes. Add puree, basil and sugar. Cover and simmer until thick, stirring occasionally, about 25 minutes. Stir in macaroni. Sprinkle with cheese. Serve with additional cheese. Serves 4.
