APPLE KUCHEN 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1 can (20 oz.) pie sliced apple, well drained or 2 1/2 c. sliced pared apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sour cream
2 egg yolks or 1 egg

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut butter into cake mix (dry) until crumbly. Mix in coconut. Pat mixture lightly into ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch, building up slight edges. Bake 10 minutes. Arrange apple slices on warm crust. Mix sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle on apples.

Blend sour cream and egg yolks (egg), drizzle over apples. Topping will not cover apples completely. Bake 25 minutes or until edges are light brown. Do not overbake. Serve warm. Serves 12. You may substitute canned peaches.
