PAPER BAG APPLE PIE 
6 apples
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. 3 minute brand oats
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
9" unbaked pie shell
1 tbsp. water

TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. 3 minute brand oats
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. butter

Pare, core and coarsely slice apples into a mixing bowl (should have about 7 cups of apple slices).

Sprinkle sugar, oats and nutmeg over apples and toss to coat well. Spoon into the pie shell. Sprinkle with water. Prepare topping by combining sugar, oats and flour. Cut in the butter and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of the filling mixture. Slide pie into a heavy brown paper bag to cover pie loosely. Fold open and over twice and fasten with paper clips. Place on baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 1 hour. Split bag open and remove pie to cooling rack.
