HAMBURGER SOUP 
1 lb. hamburger
2-3 onions
6 carrots
4 potatoes
6 stalks celery
1/2 head cabbage
1/2 rutabaga
1/3 c. rice or barley
4 beef bouillon cubes
3-4 qt. water

Brown hamburger and onion. Add water and simmer 3/4 hour. Add cut up carrots and rutabaga. Cook 1/2 hour. Add celery, potatoes, and rice. Cook 1/2 hour. Add beef cubes, salt and pepper to taste.
