GOOD BISCUITS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/8 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. buttermilk

Dissolve water and yeast, set aside. Mix dry ingredients in order, cut in shortening. Stir in buttermilk and yeast mixture to dry ingredients. Blend. Dough is ready to roll out. Turn dough onto floured board, knead lightly. Roll out and cut with biscuit butter. Place in greased pan. Let rise slightly. Roll out dough 1 inch thick. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
