FUDGE BROWNIES 
2 sticks of butter
4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 c. sugar
4 lg. eggs
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 to 1 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped

Melt chocolate in butter over low heat. Stir sugar into mixture. Add eggs to cooled batter. Sift flour and baking powder together; slowly mix into egg mixture; add vanilla. Fold in chopped nuts.

Preheat oven to 350 to 375 degrees. Line a 13 x 9 x 2 pan with waxed paper, bake brownies 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Turn out of pan, peel off waxed paper and turn up right side in a container that can be covered. Glaze while hot with prepared frosting if desired. Covering hot brownies keeps them moist.
