MANDU (Korean) | |
1 1/2 lbs. beef or pork 2 lb. cabbage 5 scallions 50 mandu wrappers 12 oz. bean sprouts 1 hard tofu (sm. size) 2 tbsp. sesame seed oil 1/2 tsp. chopped garlic Salt and black pepper, season to taste You can get these at Kim's Oriental Grocery. Also pre-made mandu as available, ready to fry. Shred or chop the cabbage fine and steam. Boil the bean sprouts; drain and squeeze out all of the water, then chop them up. Chop up the scallions and mix with the above ingredients. Place about 1 tbsp. of the ingredients in a mandu skin and wet the edges. Fold it into a half moon shape. Make sure the edges are sealed. Cook in a frying pan or for more crisp mandu, deep fry until golden brown. Quantity: 50. |
