JEWISH HONEY CAKE | |
3 c. flour 1 tbsp. cinnamon 1 tbsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 3 lg. eggs 3/4 c. honey 1 c. strong coffee 1/2 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. plumped raisins 1 tsp. grated orange rind, optional Sift first 4 ingredients. Beat together next 4 ingredients. Add sifted ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with coffee. Fold in remaining ingredients. Bake in greased tube pan for 1 hour at 325 degrees. (Do not use Bundt pan. It may stick.) No frosting necessary. |
