BIG MAMA CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Cream sugar and shortening well. Add remaining ingredients and beat well with mixer. Grease and flour 4 cake pans. Pour in batter and bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Cool and frost.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter

Mix ingredients, bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Beat until thick. Spread between layers and on top of cake.
