SPARE RIBS, KAUAI 
Serving size pieces country style spare ribs. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon garlic salt. Brown in 450 degree oven for 20 minutes. Meantime, saute 1/2 cup onions chopped in 1 tablespoon oil.

SAUCE:

3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/3 c. lemon juice and grated rind
3 tbsp. brown sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 c. chili sauce
1 c. syrup from sliced pineapple

Simmer sauce 15 minutes on top of stove. Turn oven to 325 degrees. Roast ribs in sauce 2 hours (1 hour covered). Baste with pineapple sauce during the last hour. Serve with pineapple slices on top.
