1/4 c. salad oil
3 tbsp. dry white wine
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. snipped fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1 tsp. salt
Several dashes bottled hot pepper sauce

In screw top jar combine oil, wine, lemon juice, sugar, basil, salt, bottled hot pepper. Cover and shake to mix well. Chill. Shake again before serving. Makes 1/2 cup.
