GLAZED WIENERS | |
1 jar (12 oz.) orange marmalade 1 lb. skinless wieners (about 10) 1. Remove metal lid from marmalade jar. Place jar in microwave oven. Cook marmalade about 1 1/2 minutes or until heated throughout and marmalade melts. 2. Cut each wiener crosswise into 4 pieces. Divide the round side of the wiener into fourths and cut into the edge one-half inch. 3. Place marmalade and wieners in an 8-inch ovenware cake dish. Stir. Cook in microwave oven 4 to 5 minutes or until wieners are hot. Stir once during heating. As the wieners heat, the cut ends spread apart and curl. Add toothpicks and they are ready to serve. Total cooking time: 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 minutes. Yield: 40 pieces. |
