SWEDISH ALMOND RUSKS | |
1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 2 eggs 3 c. flour 1 c. ground almonds 1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk 1 tsp. baking soda Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs. Sift flour and soda together. Add this and remaining ingredients and mix well. Chill. Make dough into a long roll or 2 rolls and place on greased cookie sheet. Dough will be very sticky. Bake at 300 degrees until brown. Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Toast first on one side and then the other in a 250 to 300 degree oven until light brown. Toasting time is 45 minutes. |
