ANNIE'S PINEAPPLE BARS 
CRUMBS:

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cups oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda

FILLING:

1 cup crushed pineapple with juice
2 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 cup water

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix butter, brown sugar, flour, oatmeal and baking soda. Divide in half and line 9x13-inch pan with half of the crumbs.

Mix pineapple, cornstarch, sugar, butter and water in saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour filling over the crumbs and add reserved crumbs to top.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.
