CREAMY FRUIT SALAD 
1 pkg. lemon Jello
3/4 c. syrup from fruit cocktail
1 c. cottage cheese
1 1/3 c. well drained #2 or #303 fruit cocktail
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
1/2 c. chopped unpeeled apples
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 c. milk

Heat syrup in small saucepan. Pour hot syrup over Jello in mixing bowl to dissolve Jello. While Jello and syrup are cooling, put all other ingredients into large bowl. Pour Jello over mixture. Stir to mix well. Pour into large 9 x 13 inch shallow pan. Put into refrigerate until firm about 2 hours. Cut into squares and serve each square in a lettuce cup.
