1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup coconut
1 cup Cocoa Puff cereal

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Mix together and bake on cookie sheets for 10-12 minutes (depends on size of cookies). Makes about 24 cookies.
