GLAZED STRAWBERRY PIE 
Baked 9 inch pastry shell
1 1/2 qts. fresh strawberries, washed, drained & hulled
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. butter
Red food coloring

Place 1 quart of the strawberries in pastry shell. Crush 1/2 quart berries and combine with water, sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Bring to a boil and continue boiling, 2 minutes or until clear. Add butter and enough red coloring matter to give an attractive bright color, strain and pour into shell. Chill to set.
