STRAWBERRY GLAZED PIE 
4 c. fresh strawberries
1 c. sugar (granulated)
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. cornstarch
Red food coloring (optional)
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 pkg. Lucky Whip
1 baked pie shell (deep dish)

Wash and hull strawberries, drain thoroughly. Arrange 2 cups of these berries over bottom of pie shell. (You can cut strawberries into bite size pieces - but whole berry is much more impressive presentation. - Edit.) Crush the remaining 2 cups of strawberries in a saucepan.

In a bowl mix together sugar, salt and cornstarch; stir into crushed berries. Heat slowly, stirring constantly. Cook until mixture thickens. (Add food coloring now, if desired.) Remove from heat; add lemon juice. Allow to cool.

Spoon mixture over strawberries in pie shell. Chill until filling sets. Top with Lucky Whip or whipped cream.
