PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix, baked according to instructions on box - in 2 layers
2 (4 oz.) pkgs. instant vanilla pudding mix, mixed according to directions on box, but with 1/2 c. extra milk
1 lg. can cherry pie filling
1 (14 oz.) bag coconut
1 lg. can fruit cocktail, drained
1 lg. can chunk or crushed pineapple, drained
2 (8 oz.) containers Cool Whip
1 1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Layer in punch bowl: 1 yellow cake layer, half of instant pudding, 1/2 cherries, 1/2 fruit cocktail, 1/2 pineapple, 1/2 nuts, 1/2 coconut, 1/2 Cool Whip. Repeat layers. Sprinkle nuts on top.
