ALMOND PASTRY SQUARES 
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. butter
6 tbsp. ice water

FILLING:

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. almond extract
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
Cream
Sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour and baking powder; cut butter into mixture. Add water; mix well. Divide into 2 parts; roll out. Put 1/2 in bottom of ungreased 9"x13" pan and partly up sides. Roll out remaining crust for top. Mix together filling ingredients; pour into crust. Put second crust over top and seal edges. Brush with cream and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 1 hour.
