CHEESEBURGER CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. onion, chopped
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. ketchup
1 can tomato sauce
1 pkg. American slice cheese
1 can refrigerated biscuits

Cook beef and onion until slightly browned. Drain. Add salt and pepper. Stir in ketchup and tomato sauce. Heat thoroughly. Turn into 8-inch square pan or 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Cut cheese into thin strips. Sprinkle over meat. Top with biscuits.

Bake at 425°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

Yield: 4 to 6 servings.

Helpful hint: Slightly brown biscuits on bottom before putting on top of casserole so they won't be gooey.
