RICE WITH FRIED THIN NOODLES | |
2 c. rice 3/4 c. vermicelli, broken into 1-inch pieces 3 3/4 c. hot water 1/4 c. butter 1/2 tsp. salt Fry vermicelli in butter, on low heat, stirring constantly until light brown. Add rice, water, and salt. Bring to boil. Cover and turn heat to low. Let simmer for 20 minutes until rice is tender and water is absorbed. Makes 4 to 6 servings. |
