HEARTY CHOWDER 
6 slices bacon, fried crisp
1/4 c. green pepper
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
4 c. milk
1 (1 lb.) can cream style corn
1 (1 lb.) can kernel style corn
1 (1 lb.) can sm. whole white potatoes, cubed
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. seasoned pepper
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1/2 bay leaf

Fry bacon, drain. Saute green pepper and onion in butter and bacon grease until tender. Blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk, corn and cubed potatoes. Cook over medium heat until thick and creamy, stirring occasionally. Just before serving top with bacon. 6 to 8 servings.
