BAKED TOMATO STEAK 
6-7 lb. roast (or 2-3 lb. roast)
1 lg. can stewed tomatoes
3 c. water
1 lg. green pepper
1/8 c. oregano
2 lg. cans tomato sauce
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 lg. onion
1/8 c. garlic salt
1/8 c. pepper

Cut roast in large chunks (3-4 inches). Brown meat, on high heat, until it starts to stick, and leaves meat pieces. Add Worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, and green pepper, oregano, garlic and pepper. Brown some more (careful not to burn). Then remove meat and put into roaster, cover with tomato sauce. Add water to frying pan and scrape all meat off pan. Add to roaster. Bake at 350 degrees approximately 3 hours or until thick.

Serves 8-10.
