OKRA AND TOMATOES 
1 (16 oz.) can red pack tomatoes
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. oil or bacon grease
1 lb. fresh okra

Cook tomatoes, salt, sugar and oil together. Wash okra, cut ends off and cut up. Add okra into the tomatoes. Add black pepper to taste. Cook until okra is tender. Serve over rice or as a side dish.
