APPLE COBBLER 
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
6 c. apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice

TOPPING:

1 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1 egg
1/4 c. milk

In a large saucepan, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Gently stir in sliced, peeled apples. Cook and stir over medium heat until boiling. Cover; cook about 5 minutes more or until tender. Stir in lemon juice. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.

For Biscuit topper: Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles crumbs. Mix together eggs and milk; add to dry ingredients. Add to fruit mixture in 8 mounds. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
