APPLE COBBLER 
10-12 apples, sliced
1/3-1/2 c. sugar (depends on sweetness of apples)

Layer apples, sugar, apples, sugar, etc. (13 x 9 x 2 inch pan). When finished, pour 1/2 cup water over top.

TOPPING:

2 sticks butter (room temperature or microwave until slightly soft)
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon; then mix into butter. Put on top of apples (can "pat" it on). Bake at 350 degrees, covered, for 20 minutes. Then 400 degrees, uncovered, for 20 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
