JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
4 lg. eggs
1/2 c. orange juice
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
8-10 apples, peeled
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cinnamon

Sift flour and baking powder together. Beat remaining ingredients until smooth. Add flour mixture. Peel and slice apples. Make mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Grease and flour tube pan. Put half of batter in pan, cover with half of apples and half cinnamon mixture. Put in remaining batter in layers on top. Dot with butter. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.
