SUGAR CUT OUT COOKIES (NO CHILLING) | |
1/2 c. butter, softened 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. baking powder 2 1/2 c. flour (I use 1/2 c. wheat, 2 c. white) Cream butter and sugar with electric mixer. Add eggs and vanilla; add baking powder and flour, one cup at a time. Dough will be stiff. No chilling. Roll dough on lightly floured surface. Dip cutters in flour before each use. Bake at 400 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet for 6 to 7 minutes. Use top oven rack. Can be frosted. DIETITIAN'S NOTE: This cookie recipe could be "lightened up" by using 1/3 less sugar. This would not alter your results. Egg substitute would rid this recipe of cholesterol. |
