VIDALIA ONION CORN BREAD 
2 c. self-rising cornmeal
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg (slightly beaten)
2 tbsp. cooking oil
2 c. sweet milk
2 c. finely chopped onions

Combine all ingredients except onions (batter is thin). Stir in onions, mixing well. Pour into well greased iron skillet and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until light brown. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.
