CONGO COOKIES 
2/3 c. melted shortening or Wesson oil
2 3/4 c. dark brown sugar
3 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. nutmeats
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla

Bake in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
