MICROWAVE APPLESAUCE 
6 c. peeled, cored and sliced cooking apples
1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg

In a 2 quart microproof casserole, mix apples, water and lemon juice. Cook covered, on high (max. power) 10 to 12 minutes, or until apples are tender. Stir in remaining ingredients until smooth. Serve warm or cold with pork or as a light dessert with ice cream or cool whip.

Makes 4 to 6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
