SAVORY CORN BAKE 
1 c. milk
2 eggs, separated
3/4 c. self-rising flour
2 tbsp. cornmeal
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 (15 oz.) can cream style corn
10 slices crispy cooked bacon, crumbled
Dash pepper

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 quart casserole. In a large bowl, combine milk and egg yolks; blend well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off. Add flour, cornmeal, baking powder and pepper. Stir in green pepper, corn and bacon. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry; fold into corn mixture. Pour into greased casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until center is firm. Serves 8.
